    Ordering a camaro SS

so i have decided that i would like to get a 2012 camaro. I have a 98 and it runs great but the interior sucks, the ride sucks and it's just not perdy enough. so, i have a fairly new mitsubishi ralliart and i need to sell or trade this in on the car. I get new cars at $100 over invoice (so i know what my price would be) and i have searched high and low for a white 12 1SS with orange stripes, manual 6 and boston speakers only. no luck. so i think i'm going to order one after my 98 is sold.

question is, because i have never ordered, how much does one usually need to put down? do we need to do all paperwork at time of delivery or at time of ordering? what about rebates? if there are rebates now but car will be delivered in 6 weeks, which rebates would i get?

got some answers to my questions today and i figure i'd come on here and post up in case this could help someone else later on.

To order, they say it is really easy. You go in, meet with the manager and lay out your car and then put $500 down on it. done deal.

No financial paperwork at that time. All is completed at the time you take delivery.

Rebates are at the time of delivery. so if you order and there are $1000 in rebates then you go in and take delivery and there are $0 in rebates you get $0 :-(

4-6 weeks is generaly the time but he says camaros are fast. also, he said in my case, they'd probably just pull a regular one off the line and slam the stripes on it and ship it. so could be extremely fast.

I'm hoping to order a car. i work at a dealer and think it would be pretty neat to order, then PDI the car then drive away with nobody else having "worked" on it. :-)
