Thread: Flowmaster 1 Chamber on 1st gen Camaro

Have any of you put on the new Flowmaster 1 chamber mufflers on your 1st gen Camaros? I had the original 40 series flowmasters on my Chevelle and loved how it sounded but wanted something a bit louder.

I had to dump the exhaust right before the rear axle to get the amount of bass and loudness out of the 2 chamber flowmasters, but Im wondering how a set of 1 chamber flowmasters would sound with pipes going out the back?

The one chambers are going to be SUPER loud! Remember this about mufflers, the smaller the size or case the louder it will be. For example all those SUV and truck mufflers are super long but very tame and quiet. We have one on our SUV and its very mellow compared to say a 2 chamber or one chamber flowmaster. With the 1 chamber youre getting pretty close to almost open headers I bet but I could be wrong.
